2018 Ibis Demo Bikes
Ibis has been making waves over the past year. They've released four new bikes that span the range of mountain biking disciplines from cross to enduro. All four models have received high praises from media sources and riders alike. The Ibis EWS team even took home the overall aboard the new Mojo HD4. We have added the New Ripley LS, Mojo 3 and Mojo HD4 to our demo fleet for 2018.
The Mojo 3 is Ibis' versatile mid-travel trail bike. It has 130mm rear travel matched with a 140mm fork. It's designed to run 27.5 inch tires from a standard 2.3" up to 2.8" width on the stock wheels. Balanced geometry and a light carbon frame make the Mojo 3 one of the quickest and liveliest trail bikes on the market. The Mojo 3 can climb with the best of them. The extra traction afforded by the 2.8" tires makes techy climbs a breeze. When things turn downhill the comfortable and confident geometry make the bike one of the most fun rides for most trails When things get rough, the Mojo 3 doesn't shy away. This isn't a smash everything in sight enduro bike, however. It will take a skilled rider to clean the really hairy descents on the Mojo 3. If a monster truck personality is more you're style, then the HD4 is the bike for you.
The HD4 is the Mojo 3's big brother. It's the Ibis you want for taming the roughest trails. If enduro racing is your thing, the HD4 is one of the fastest bikes out there. Their EWS team took first for a reason. (fast riders + fast bike = lots of winning) Long and slack geometry make the bike stable at high speeds and the suspension eats up all the trail chatter and big hits. The HD4 packs 153mm rear suspension with 160mm out front. The HD4 is no slouch on the climbs though. Ibis uses the tried and true DW link suspension platform. It sits high in its travel and is very efficient to make those long climbs a little easier. Ibis found the perfect balance between stability and agility with the HD4. Most bikes make you choose one or the other, but Ibis seemed to do the impossible by giving you both.
Ibis redesigned their Ripley last summer making it better than ever. The Ripley is Ibis' only 29" bike in their lineup. It sports 120mm rear travel and a 130mm fork. The Ripley is known for it's climbing efficiency and playful nature. This time around they added just a little capability to the bike by making the linkage stiffer and increasing tire clearance for those wanting to run 2.6" tires. May we suggest that the 2.6" tires are the way to go. The extra grip is incredible. The thing that stands out the most to us about the Ripley is how nimble and agile it is. It's ready to pop off all the extra credit features, carve through winding sections of singletrack and turn the fun factor up to 11.
All our Ibis bikes are now available to demo for the 2018 season. Demos are $85/day. We have some 2017 Ibis demo bikes for sale if you're looking for a sweet deal.
